The Benchmark in Solar Systems

The "Average" System:
Until recently, most solar systems utilized traditional string inverter technology. A string inverter is a large box where the DC power created by the solar panels is changed to usable AC power that can be used to meet the electrical needs of a household or business. This solar setup is very limited because the whole system can be dragged down by one module that is producing poorly due to shading, debris, etc.  Enter, microinverter technology and optimizer technology! Microinverter technology has evolved substantially in recent years, providing a solution for the production issues experienced with string inverter technology by enabling each solar module to function independently with its own microinverter. Optimizer technology employs a string inverter but is able to simulate the positive production effects of microinverters with DC optimizers instead. We are committed to installing the cutting-edge technology and helping our customers get the most out of their solar system investment. Below are the two primary inverter brands most of our installations currently utilize.

Enphase microinverters turn the DC power made by the solar panels directly into the AC power that runs your house. This means that if one of the panels is obstructed in any way, its decreased performance doesn't drag down the other panels, as is the case with  conventional string inverter system setups.

The SolarEdge inverter appears to be an average string inverter upon first glance. The presence of a DC optimizer on each solar module, however, allows each panel to function, essentially, independent of the other panels, resulting in increased production as experienced with microinverter technology.
