Eric Andrews, Vice President/General Contractor
Eric Andrews is the founder and general contractor of Eco Solar, Inc. Eric has an A.S. degree in Business from Southeast Community College in Nebraska, and prior to forming Eco Solar in 2007, he owned his own real estate appraisal business for 15 years in Lincoln, Nebraska. Eric and his wife, Alison, were drawn to the Klamath Basin by its promise of 300 days of sunshine each year, and since their arrival, Eric has made a concerted effort to play an active role in the Basin’s movement towards implementing more renewable energy sources in the community. Eric possesses a strong commitment to reducing his own carbon footprint and is enthusiastic to educate others in regards to this practice. In 2009, the City of Klamath Falls awarded Eric with the “Green Pelican” award for his work educating the community about the prospects of solar energy in the Basin. Eric is a Certified Technician with the Oregon Department of Energy, an Ally with the Energy Trust of Oregon, and a Limited Renewable Energy Technician. Additionally, Eric has completed the rigorous work required to become certified by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) as a Solar Photovoltaic Installer.
Alison Andrews, President
Alison grew up off-grid in Gold Beach, Oregon, with only generators for power. Hence, Alison’s understanding of the importance of energy and the production thereof began at a very young age, as did her dedication to a renewable and sustainable future for our planet. Having earned a B.S. degree from Oregon State University, Alison worked as a Licensed Registered Dietician for several years prior to making the decision to shift career gears and form Eco Solar with Eric. When she is not otherwise occupied by Samson, Eric’s and her one-year-old son, Alison oversees administrative activities and financial planning aspects of the business.
